Today Alaska Airlines announced a new service between Oakland/San Jose to Lihue or Kona for
$ 179 one way. Purchase by September 3, 2011 to fly between March 12 and June 9, 2012.
 
Delta Airlines To Hawaii

Delta Airlines has a great deal from Dallas to Honolulu for $199 + Tax each way or $467 all inclusive. This is 50% off their normal airfare to Hawaii and is expected to last into 2012!
Christmas and New Years are excluded and some dates during Thanksgiving. Do a search on their site and it will detail the actual exclusion dates.

The Hawaiian outrigger canoe is an important part of Polynesian history. This past week paddlers from around the island of Kauai gathered for the 12th annual Paddle Fest. Launching from Kalapaki Bay  to Poipu Beach, traditional 6 man canoes and single man canoes raced  to honor this history.
